SJAM State First Aid Competition
03 Mar 2024A team of 5 members from the St John Ambulance of Malaysia AK Academy Corps (AK Corps) participated in the State First Aid Competition. Despite it being AK Corps' first time in such a competition, all members performed admirably.
Our Corps President and Management are pleased with the outcome, especially as Ms. Vithyasri A/P Kathiresan received a prize in the written session.
With the dedication of our Corps Superintendent and members, we are committed to enhancing internal training efforts and eagerly anticipate future competitions. In summary, this event provided valuable experience and exposure for our AK Corps members.
Furthermore, our Corps Medical Officer, Dr. Oun Boon Han, PJK, was invited to be one of the assessors for the competition. Additionally, our Chief Executive of AK Academy, Prof. Logistician Chang Kah Loon, accompanied by our Corps President, Log. Ts. Amy Ooi, PKT, PJM; Corps Superintendent, Log. William Ooi, PJK; Deputy Divisional President (AKCAD II), Log. Ts. Cheah Chuan Wooi, PJK; and ASO (Training), Lim Yong Ting, were present to offer moral support.
