13 Dec 2024
Dato’ Log. Ts. Chang Kah Loon, FCILT, FLogM; Log. Ts. Amy Ooi, FCILT, FLogM; and Log. Eunice Chang Qi Ying, CMILT, MLogM, met up with key personnel of the Department of Skills Development (JPK), Ministry of Human Resources, on 13 December 2024 (Friday).
AK Academy 勤 略 學 院 is part of a maritime logistics group of companies. Given this position, JPK has recommended that AK Academy 勤 略 學 院 become a JPK-accredited training centre to offer essential training programmes for Malaysians, particularly in maritime logistics. This is significant as over 90% of global trade is conducted through seaborne trade, highlighting the importance of maritime logistics knowledge. As the saying goes, "Without understanding maritime logistics, one’s knowledge of logistics remains incomplete."
In addition, JPK had invited Dato' Log. Ts. Chang Kah Loon (拿督曾家麟教授) to contribute to the development of the curriculum for JPK NOSS in his field of specialisation, given his extensive knowledge and experience, particularly in maritime logistics, where he has served for more than 30 years through an international ocean carrier.
