03 Feb 2025

Several representatives from AK Academy, including Dato’ Log. Ts. Chang Kah Loon, Log. Ts. Amy Ooi, Log. Ranni Selvaraju, and Log. Eunice Chang Qi Ying, were invited to attend a briefing on industry-driven training initiatives by the Department of Skills Development (JPK), Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA), on 3 February 2025 (Monday). This session aimed to highlight the importance of aligning training programmes with industry needs, ensuring that professionals are equipped with relevant and practical skills.

In today’s fast-evolving business environment, industry-focused training is more essential than ever, especially in Logistics and Supply Chain. Theoretical knowledge alone is insufficient to meet the demands of modern industries. Hands-on experience, technical expertise, and real-world application must take priority to bridge the gap between education and workforce readiness. Such initiatives play an important role in developing a highly skilled workforce, driving innovation, and enhancing overall industry competitiveness.
